Super Eagles of Nigeria has advanced to the final of the ongoing 2023 African Cup of Nations after beating the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in a tension soaked encounter, eventually settled by the Kelechi Iheanacho penalty kick.
The match which took place at the Stade de la Paix (Stadium of Peace) in Bouake, Ivory Coast was settled by a penalty shoot out after a one hundred and twenty minutes of exceptional display of skills and tactics by both teams.
Teboho Mokoena’s 88th minute equalizer had neutralize the Nigerian Captain Willian Troost Ekong’s 69th penalty goal, forcing the match into a penalty kick which the Nigeria side won by 4:2.
While the match lasts, the Super Eagles of Nigeria has proven to the soccer world of their patriotic spirit of never-die resolve, such that had been their identity since the group stage of the tournament.
