APC Yewa North LGA flags off Campaign, upbeat about victory
It was carnival like at Joga Orile in Iboro/Joga Ward, Yewa North as the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the local government flags off campaign for the coming local government election in Ogun State.
Speaking at the event where the leaders of the APC officially presented Dr. Olusola Samuel Akinbode and Hon. Olumide Joseph Ilori to the electorates as the party’s flagbearers in the November 16th election, the Hon. Commissioner for Housing in the State who doubles as the overall Campaign Coordinator for Yewa North.
The Commissioner, Hon Jagunmolu, commended the party members for the large turn out, adding that the party will leveraged on the performance of its government in the state and claim victory in the election.
Others speakers at the event called on the electorates to work hard for victory, assuring that the Chairmanship candidate, the Vice Chairmanship candidate and the candidates for councillorship positions are best the party can parade and they will not disappoint the electorates in office.
Those who spoke at the event are Chief Olu Agemo, Senator Kola Bajomo, Rt. Hon. Suraj Adekunbi, Elder S.M.A Akinyemi, Hon. Sunday Kojeku, Chief Adekunle Adeosun, Hon. Job Akintan among others.
Dr. Olusola Samuel Akinbode while speaking on behalf of all candidates thanked the leadership of the APC in the local government for thrusting the huge responsibility of advancing growth in the local government on them and promised that their performance in office will match the confidence of the party in them.
The event had in attendance Alhaji Yemi Adelani, the APC state Organising Secretary who represented the State’s APC Chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi. He was accompanied by Comrade Ambassador Tunde Oladunjoye, the state Publicity Secretary.
Also in attendance were APC leaders in Yewa North led by Chief Olu Agemo, Senator Kola Bajomo, Alh. Bashir Fadairo, Jagumolu Akande Omoniyi, Rt. Hon Suraj Adekunbi, Chief Kunle Adeosun, APC Yewa North Chairman, Hon Sunday Kojeku and the duo of House of Assembly members representing both Isokan and Ketu constituencies, Hon. Adegoke Awoso and Hon. Wahab Egungbohun.
Others are Hon. Tunde Bankole, Hon. Job Akintan, Hon. Amoo Tajudeen, Chief Wahab Elegbede, Chief Abiola, Chief Rotimi Oderinde to mention few.
