Chief Egungbohun (IBD Dende), the Ogun born popular freight forwarder, has objectively unlocked his understanding of what is obtainable for a class of people apart from ‘everyone’ under the planet earth.

He made this known during a chat with atotoDaily in which he preaches serving humanity with one’s life.

During the brief conversation, this Newspaper noted that the business man cum farmer adapted consistently one of Albert Schweitzer’s quotes when he was explaining his opinion about the purpose of humans’ sojourn here on EARTH.

Chief Egungbohun said he “wouldn’t know what will be for everyone”, but he’s “sure of one thing; that the only ones who will be happy truly in this life are those who are readily available for others”.

Differentiating a particular class of people “who will be happy truly in this life” from “everyone” else, Chief Egungbohun thereby iterates the art of living for others.

Speaking further, he said, apart from serving his Nigerian community modestly; be it through material wealth, intellectual gifts and all there is that Allah has granted, nothing more is worth living for than being “available for others”.

His word, being “readily available for others”, in the tone of the brief chat, has become his routine evidently. Infact, “serving his country men and women in any ways possible” which according to him was his definition of “community service”, over the years, has cut across borders.

atotoDaily reports that it was the turn of the far North in July 27, 2024 to have its share of Chief Egungbohun’s AVAILABILITY when he, as one of a great crowd of witnesses converged at the Dantata Juma’at Mosque, Koki in the ancient city of Kano for the Nikkah of the Special Senior Assistant to the President on Community Engagement, North East region, Hon Abdulhamid Yahaya-Abba, who married one of Alhaji Sa’adina Dantata’s beautiful daughters, Salma.

Chief Egungbohun has embarked on the journey to make himself “available” – a sort of community service – in particular, for the young man popularly referred to as Jazzy, who has been making himself “available” to his people as the President’s aide on “Community Engagement” toward ensuring a renewed hope.

The community leader showed the good people of the Northern Nigeria how genuinely he means his disposition to being “available for others”.

atotoDaily recalls that in the year 2021, during the era of herdsmen’s invasion of farmlands in Yewaland, Ogun State, which almost destabilized the nation’s security architecture and the Yorùbá-Fulani (Southern/Northern) relationship in particular, the State Governor Dapo Abiodun in his bids to find a lasting solution to the menace, appointed Chief Egungbohun (IBD Dende), into a 20-man Peace Keeping Committee on Farmers-Herders Conflict led by a legal luminary and former House of Representative member, Hon Kayode Oladele.
