Ibese-Yewa, situates in Yewa North area of Ogun State, SouthWest, Nigeria hasn’t known peace for some days over an alleged imposition of the Aboro-elect of Ibese by the Ogun State Government on July 25, 2022.

The residents who spoke with our reporter were explicit in their choice of Prince Azeez Adedimeji Idowu who they said was the consensus candidate of Mosan the root of Olokojobi Ruling House.

They noted that Prince Azeez Adedimeji Idowu is a 1st (Male) direct-son of Olokojobi Ruling House which according to the Ogun State Obas and Chieftaincy Law is sacrosanct.

In a video interview made available to RazorTimes, Prince Rotimi Oluseyi Mulero, the alleged imposed Oba-elect, in the presence of the Regents, has stated that he is from the 4th (Female) Generation of Olokojobi family.

Prince Mulero further stated that Omiyale, the first great-grand-daughter of Olokojobi gave birth to his grandmother, who gave birth to Pa Isaac Mulero of blessed memory.

Meanwhile RazorTimes had cited a document tagged ‘subsisting injunction’ which ordered both parties to maintain the status quo.

It will be recalled that the late Aboro, Oba Joel Bamgbose was from Alangbo Ruling House, a fact which mandated the Regents of Ibese-Yewa to fill the vacant stool with a bonafide Prince from Olokojobi, the second ruling house in the town.

“Unfortunately”, according to Prince Akeem Idowu, a prominent contestant from the Olokojobi Ruling House of Ibese-Yewa, who withdrew from the race, ” despite series of protest letters written to Governor Dapo Abiodun and Mr. Talabi, the Ogun SSG, the state government went ahead to appoint someone who we, the Olokojobi and good people of Ibese wouldn’t approve”.

However, for over seventeen hours to the time of filing this report, a call to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Chieftancy and Local Govt Affairs, Mr Kolawole Fagbhohun, for clarification was not answered, as well, text message sent received no response.
