Agro Cargo Airport, Customs Training School Projects: Testament to a visionary leadership – Hon Kaka
Hon. Segun Kaka, a member of the Ogun State House of Assembly representing the Ijebu North State Constituency II, moved by what he termed as progressive governance, praised the State Governor Dapo Abiodun for his remarkable achievements and visionary leadership.
Speaking during the week with the leadership of Federated Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ogun State Council, led by Comrade Juwon Opayemi, Hon. Kaka itemised the Governor’s unwavering commitment to developing the state’s infrastructure and empowering its youth.
“The governor has been doing an excellent job, but the media has not been adequately highlighting his accomplishments,” he noted.
The lawmaker highlighted several key projects, including the completion of a 15-kilometer access road, which he described as a “historic achievement.”
He also mentioned the Governor’s efforts in reviving stalled initiatives from previous administrations, such as the Adocuda and Emerald projects, which have significantly improved connectivity and reduced accidents.
Addressing the state’s economic challenges, Hon. Kaka acknowledged the global economic downturn but praised the governor’s pragmatic approach in navigating these turbulent times.
“The economic issues we are facing are not unique to our state; they are results of worldwide economic factors. However, the governor has been working tirelessly to address the bureaucratic hurdles and implement practical solutions.”
Hon Kaka also commended the governor’s initiatives in the agricultural sector, particularly the introduction of brown grain rice production, which he said is a game-changer in the region.
“We are witnessing the establishment of industrial farms and farm clusters, which are transforming the agricultural landscape and positioning Ogun State as a leader in this field”.
Furthermore, Hon. Kaka highlighted the governor’s efforts in civil service management, including salary increment and procedural improvements, which have contributed to increased public satisfaction and economic stability.
Summarising the Governor’s vision, Hon. Kaka said, “The Governor’s goal is to create a system that accommodates both the rich and the medium-income citizens, ensuring that everyone has a fair opportunity to thrive”.
He praised the Elemide led legislative’s efforts to rebuild and improve the system, which have led to the emergence of new millionaires and a more inclusive economic landscape.
“No doubt, Ogun State House of Assembly has been doing a wonderful job in complementing the Governor in ensuring a seamless progress-driven governance”.
In conclusion, Hon Kaka expressed confidence in Governor Abiodun’s ability to continue driving progress and addressing the state’s challenges through strategic interventions and systemic reforms.
