Monarch advocates citizens’ participation in nation building look

Towards a better prosperous country, the newly installed Aboro of Ibese Land, Oba Oluwaseyi Mulero has enjoined Nigerians to be actively involved in the process of nation building, for better tomorrow.

Oba Mulero who made the call during his acceptance sheech pointed out that, the current challenges confronting the nation would be surmounted, if the citizens contribute their quotas to the nation’s development by projecting well, the image of the country through patriotism.

The Monarch said complaints would not solve the problem, rather, everyone should be actively involved in the electoral process especially during the 2023 general election.

Everyone should obtain their Permanent Voter Cards(PVCs), to enable them exercise their civic responsibilities towards electing credible leaders.

Oba Mulero appreciated Governor Dapo Abiodun and entire people of Ibese for confidence reposed on him,calling on sons and daughters of Ibese and its environs to come together as one indivisible family and join hands in developing the land.

Early the Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr Fagbohun Peter while presenting staff of Office and Instruments of Appointment to the Monarch, charged traditional leaders in the town to put their differences aside and work for the progress of their community.

Gov Dapo urged the people of Ibese land to give the traditional ruler maximum support,respect as well as needed cooperation to move the land to an enviable height.

“Kabiyesi, by your appointment and installation, you have become a member of Yewa Traditional Council, you ate expected to cooperate and collaborate with other kings within the Traditional Council and mobilized your subject for effective discharge of their civic and social responsibilities, such as peaceful coexistence, enforcement of law and order, prompt payment of taxes and others levies among others”, Abiodun said.

Also, the Chairman of Council, Hon Gabriel Ogunyomi, noted that the installation of the new monarch signals a new beginning that would usher in massive development for the people of the town and congratulated Oba Mulero on his ascension to the throne

The installation took place after the demise of the erstwhile monarch, Oba Joel Bamgbose , Aboro of Ibese who joined his ancestors on Thursday, 12th January, 2017
