NYNETHA Coordinator, Adetutu Babatunde becomes National Youth Council’s Financial Secretary, assures inclusiveness

In what could be described as a divine gift to commemorate the twenty (20) years of existence the Youth Network on HIV/AIDS, Population and Development (NYNETHA) as an organization, was the emergence of her first executive member in the Ogun State chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN).
At the 2023 Elective Congress of the Youth Council held at the Valley View Auditorium, Government House Oke-Igbeyin, Abeokuta, the Ogun State NYNETHA Coordinator Comrade Adetutu Babatunde was elected as the Financial Secretary of the Youth apex body in Ogun State.
Mrs Adetutu Babatunde, 33, a Mass Communication graduate of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta is a Development Consultant with working experience as Information Management Consultant with society for Family Health (SFH), director of administration Centre for Grassroot Education Healthcare and Empowerment (CenGEHE) as well as current Financial Secretary of the Network of NGO’s working on Transparency and Accountability (TAN).
In an interview after the swearing in of the new executives, Mrs Adetutu Babatunde promised to ensure Transparency and Accountability in the Youth Council financial activities inline with Global best practices.
The election which had in attendance the State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun represented by the Commissioner for Sport, Mr. Wasiu Isiaka, the Osun State Commissioner for Youth, Mr. Olagunju as well as the National President of the National Youth Council Comr Sokubo.
In her appreciation message, the Financial Secretary expressed gratitude to God and stakeholders.
“My heartfelt gratitude to God and my deepest appreciation to all the Youth of Ogun State, our great Leaders, Stakeholders, my mentor, Father and role model, Ap. Dr. Tola.Adenekan JP. a Gender Advocates who believes in the success & achievement of every Girl child and my ever supportive husband, Mr. Abolade Babatunde for his support and encouragement towards my Vision to serve the Youth Constituency of Ogun State with Integrity, Transparency and Accountability.
I promised to deliver my duty diligently “leaving no one behind'” and to create more time and space for innovations, collaboration and meaningful advancement on Capacity Building evolving around the Sustainable Development Goals, Policy documents and Resource Mobilisation training and most importantly to enhance more Gender inclusion at all levels.
“With a deep passion to serve as the Financial Secretary, I am committed to open lines of Communication, agile processes and unwavering support, all working together to forge a brighter future for this organization.
