Ogbara Waleematu An-Nikah: VP Shettima, Abiodun, Abiru, Adebule, Benson, Solomon, notable political gladiators make lists of witnesses

As the Sharia Court of Appeal in Kwara State issued a Marriage Certificate to Abdul Baasit Ogbara and Raabihah from the family of late Imam Ayub & Alhaja Fatima Muhammad during the weekend at White Stone Events Place in Oregun Lagos, Nigeria, political heavy weight personalities led by the Vice President Kassim Shettima among which were Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, Senator Abiru, Honourable Babajimi Benson, Senator Ganiyu Olanrewaju Solomon, and notable political stakeholders from the ruling All Progressive Party witnessed the holy matrimony.

The dignitaries honored the invite as witnesses to the holy matrimony of the couple in line with the tenet of both the Islamic and Christianity which stipulated that it must be consummated in front of witnesses.

Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Executive Governor of Ogun State didn’t just only witness the ceremony, His Excellency lifted the couples in prayers, beseeched God to make the couples remain in love till the rest of their lives.

“I have come on behalf of my family and the entire government of Ogun State to be a witness to this Union that is being consummated here today and to also join the family in praying for the couples, that as the God Almighty has joined the family together, will keep them joined together for the rest of their lives.

They will enjoy their matrimony in happiness, this union will be blessed with children.

“I choose to come because of Honourable Kafilat Ogbara. She is a very tenacious, experienced, dependable, loyal, consistent and reliable Politician and friend.

“At a few times like this, you show someone how much they are appreciated. I have come to celebrate with her and the family, solidarize with her that God has given her the grace, to see her son get married. God will continue to give Ogbara and her well-wishers reasons to celebrate in their families”, Governor Dapo Abiodun prayed.

The Vice President of Federal Republic of Nigeria who at the event ably represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu referred the attention of the couples to the benefit of Marriage Under Islamic law as reeled out by the guest lecturer. He enjoined the couples to uphold marriage virtues as postulated by the Shariah Law and wished the two families well as they unite as one.

Honourable Kafilat Ogbara, the mother of the groom appreciated all rank and file that graced her auspicious occasion.

“Alhamdulilah, I give all the glory to Almighty Allah for making this day possible. My son; Abdul Basit got married to Rabiah. We are blessed to have the President of Federal Republic of Nigeria ably represented by the Vice President Alhaji Kassim Shettima. Of course, my Governor was represented by his wife and the Governor of Ogun State. A lot of other well-meaning Nigerians, Ministers, Senators, National Assembly members, and everybody all came. Am so elated and humbled and I thank Almighty Allah for making this day a glorious day”, Honourable Ogbara thank all and sundry.
