Police investigates, moves to resolve rifts between officers, ex-Falcon owner of Football Academy

The Anambra State Police Command has intercepted a protest in the form of some publications by an ex-Falcon player, who owns a Football Academy, on the alleged arrest and human rights violations by some operatives of the State Police Command, as the CP Nnaghe Obono Itam has ordered a thorough investigation in his bids to resolve the misunderstanding.

According to the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga in an e-signed statement, “the State Police Command concerned heartily about the incident especially as it concerns human rights violations as alleged, invited the ex-international player and members of her team to get the facts straight.

“It is pertinent to note that after the necessary interview with the victims, it was discovered that the incident happened a few months ago and that there have been ongoing efforts to resolve the case between the parties concerned.

“The alleged Police unprofessional conduct by the Ex-Falcon footballer shall however be looked into.

“To this end, the Command sues for calm to all quarters concerned and stated that under the leadership of CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, it remains committed and accountable in strengthening the relationship with the members of the Public, especially Ndi Anambra”.
