Renowned educationist unveils Nigeria youngest visual artist, celebrates 65th birthday
As the highlight of her 65th birthday celebration, Chief Mrs Amosa Omolara Adenike Akintade JP, known also for advocating cultural values, showcased the Nigeria Youngest Visual Artist, Master Morenikeji EbunOluwa Joshua, who at age four had commenced the making of One Thousand (1,000) Portraits of reputable individuals across the world.
It wasn’t by chance that Master M. EbunOluwa Joshua mounted the podium at the ceremony held at Deo Gratias Villa, Orita Pahayi, Ilaro-Yewa, Ogun State on Wednesday 28th August, 2024 but for the Celebrant’s heartfelt desire to ensure that the young boy go places.
Speaking with atotoDaily after the event, Chief Mrs Akintade, the renowned educationist, said she was fulfilled when EbunOluwa used the occasion of her 65th birthday celebration as another pedestal to display his God given talent in front of the whole world in the audience.
“I have been in the forefront of promoting that particular Unusual Talent. I ensured he was showcased during the Tenth Year Coronation Anniversary of the Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, HRM Oba Kehinde Olugbenle. I want to assure you that I won’t relent until he achieves his ambition. Presently, he has about quarter of his goal in his mini Art Gallery.
“When you compare his drawings with his age, it shows clearly that he is a pure talent. We have many adult artists who are struggling to do what EbunOluwa is doing passionately. It may shock you to know that EbunOluwa came first when he engaged in competition alongside adult artists. He has won many Prizes and Laurels for his family, Yewaland, Ogun State and Nigeria at large
“My intent is to remain an advocate of Made in Nigeria TALENTS. The whole world must know that Africans, Nigerians, Yorubas in particular can perform wonders excellently. Moreso, I want Nigerians to know that Yewaland is teeming with pure talents.
“I will advise parents to help their children to discover their talents so as to know their best route to success. It shouldn’t be about White-Collar jobs only. Purifying one’s raw talent is a sure way to prosperity and diversity.
“Permit me to use your medium to call on reputable individuals, corporate organisations and all tiers of government to support EbunOluwa in the building of his long-desired Art Gallery”, Chief Mrs Akintade urged.
In his presentation of the Portrait of Chief Mrs Akintade, EbunOluwa said he aimed at doing portraits of One Thousand (1,000) people who have been making the world a better place.
“One of my intention is to have an Art Gallery”, EbunOluwa stated, “and also to have my artworks displayed everywhere in the world. My main intention is to draw One Thousand (1,000) faces of people that have been making this world a better place through their positive contributions in their various communities around the world. I hereby say that Mommy, you are one of the One Thousand (1,000) Faces of High Impact.
“As the youngest Artist in Nigeria, it’s therefore my honour to include you in my One Thousand (1,000) people of “High Impact Project”, with this, I hereby appreciate you for your service to God and humanity. I am proud to be a Yewa Boy”, EbunOluwa concluded.
Earlier, during the Goodwill segment, dignitaries in succession outpoured their opinions about the Celebrant; Chief Mrs Adenike Amosa Akintade JP, not a few of them referred to her as a selfless and icon woman. She was adjudged as a balanced disciplinarian.
When it was the turn of Dr Ambrose Olutayo Somide’s wife, Mrs Olasunkanmi Somide described the Celebrant as a loyal friend who wouldn’t back out during trying time.
“I want to say it here that Chief Mrs Akintade is an uncompromisingly forthright woman when it comes to setting matters straight. She says it the way it is, I will call her a no nonsense multi-talented woman. And she’s always supportive. She wouldn’t disappoint friendship in time of need, we don’t pray for tribulation though. This is a reason for us to ponder over our lives. What are we known for in our communities? Chief Mrs Akintade has become a positive role model; we must all borrow a leaf from her”, Mrs Olasunkanmi Somide enjoined.
In their own way of telling the world about the life of impact which the Celebrant represents, EDUCRAFT Global Ventures represented by its CEO, Princess Mojisola Ifesola, has bestowed on Chief Mrs Akintade a golden Royalty Achievement Award.
As well, the Officiating Minister described Chief Mrs Akintade as a disciplinarian of no equal; he recalled her days as his class teacher, noting that the discipline received made him a fine teacher and reputable cleric.
“Chief Mrs Akintade is a true leader, pure at heart and does not take nonsense.
Preaching further in his sermon, he cited the Bible book of Job, Chapter eight Verse seven (Job 8:7 – Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.) where he challenged all in attendance to live a life of impact in emulation of the Celebrant, which according to the Scripture cited, will symbolically attract great increase.
He said, “Chief Mrs Akintade toiled to become who she is. I remember her days of Suzuki 100 motorcycle and a single room at Alaraba.
“The goody she is enjoying now is never a freebie, rather it’s borne out of her hard work, determination, perseverance and selfless mindset”, the Preacher testified.
One of the Celebrant’s apprentices recalled how some people almost misled her when she wanted to learn the art of Marriage Moderator.
“Some people advised me to look for another job because the job was saturated with wicked and self-centred individuals who can kill, especially their leader in Yewaland.
“They were particular about Chief Mrs Akintade”, the apprentice said.
“However, I insisted. With the strong support of my parents and God’s guidance, I applied for the apprenticeship under her tutelage. She readily embraced me, taught me step by step to become an exceptional Marriage Moderator and Counselor. Today, I have become a testimony to her tolerance, large-heartedness and selfless mindset.
“About two years ago, she invited a trainer from Abeokuta to teach us the modern way of packaging Bride Price. Unknowingly to her, the training was a straight answer to my prayers. As far as I know, I am the only beneficiary of the training”!
She prayed God to grant her boss, Chief Mrs Amosa Akintade, more fruitful years on earth.
Without mincing words, the CEO of K&T, Mr ‘Tunde Oladapo, portrayed the Celebrant as a priceless jewel in his life.
‘My mother-in-law has been impartial; she would tell you your fault regardless of how cordial the relationship she’s having with you.
‘I am happy to have known her; the more I know her, the more I feel better’.
