“Share a Coke” returns to Nigeria with Millions in prizes, personalized bottles, digital engagement to celebrate real connections
The magic of discovering your name on a Coca-Cola bottle is back! Coca-Cola Nigeria has officially relaunched its globally loved “Share a Coke” campaign — this time, with even more personalization, nationwide engagement, and millions in prizes to celebrate friendship and connection.
First introduced in 2011, “Share a Coke” made waves by replacing the iconic Coca-Cola logo with people’s names, setting a new global standard for brand personalization. Now, the campaign returns for a new generation that values authenticity, creativity, and shared experiences.
According to a recent study, 72% of Gen Z consumers crave authentic, real-world connections. Coca-Cola’s campaign taps into this insight by offering Nigerians a tangible way to express care and friendship — one personalized Coke bottle at a time.
Yusuf Murtala, Senior Director and Head of Marketing, Coca-Cola Nigeria, said: “In Nigeria, we thrive on moments of togetherness and community where greatness happens. ‘Share A Coke’ celebrates the everyday connections that turn into memories we hold on to. Even the smallest gesture, like seeing your name on a Coke bottle, can spark joy and bring people closer.”
Coca-Cola’s enhanced customization platform allows Nigerians to create bottles or cans featuring their own names or the names of loved ones — making each drink a personal memento of connection and celebration.
Valerie Odubogun, Director of Marketing, Coca-Cola Nigeria, added: “In today’s digital world, it’s important to celebrate the unique bonds of friendship. ‘Share a Coke’ reminds us that the real magic happens when we come together to laugh, share stories, and enjoy those genuine moments of connection.”
Beyond personalization, the campaign offers millions in cash and prizes to be won weekly from October 1 to December 31, 2025. Consumers can participate by purchasing personalized 50cl Coca-Cola bottles available at major retailers nationwide.
To mark the campaign’s grand comeback, Coca-Cola will host a special launch event in Lagos on October 23, where Nigerians can experience the joy of sharing a Coke through immersive activities and memorable brand moments.
