VIDEO: Amb Udofia-led Gladiators commiserate with Ayilara’s family

The CMC founder, Ambassador Cornell Udofia, has expressed the Group’s commiseration to the family of Ayilara over the sudden death of the Commissioner of Police, Akwa Ibom, CP Waheed Ayilara which occurred on 29th August, 2024.
Ambassador Udofia stated this at the 8th day Fidaus prayer in honour of the deceased whose death announcement the CMC had received with profound sadness and sudden shock.
“On behalf of the Gladiators of Repute in conjunction with Cornell Entertainment, we wish to express our profound sadness and sudden shock over the passage of the Commissioner of Police Akwa-Ibom State Command, CP AbdulWaheed Ayilara whose death occurred on the 29th August, 2024.
“I recall that the deceased Police Chief exhibited no sign of illness or impending death as he interacted with members of our platform during the pull-out parade of the immediate past Secretary of the Nigeria Force, AIG Yetunde Longe retired in Lagos few days ago.
“However, submitting to the will of God, we console with the entire family of Ayilara, the Nigeria Police Force and all those who had the privilege of knowing and working with the Super COP.
“May his legacy continue to inspire other Cops to serve with integrity and compassion”, Amb Udofia prayed.
Extolling the virtues of his Group’s Patron, Ambassador Udofia stated that CP Ayilara was a Police Officer per excellence, adding that his dedication and commitment to excel in his chosen career has endeared him to so many of his friends, colleagues and family alike.
“He was a very dedicated officer who stands for justice, Equity and uncommon passion for his duty.
“Prior to his promotion of his rank to CP and subsequent redeployment to the Akwa-Ibom State Command, his leadership and approachable to nature made him a lasting impact on the Lagos State police Command and the community he served.
“He was a shining example of a crime Burster per Excellence, an icon of gentlemanship. A mentor to so many younger officers and True Nigerian who doesn’t discriminate in his relationship with anybody.
“He was a liberal Officer who would always give fair hearing in settling disputes; His memory would live on through our continuous commitment to justice, equity and human rights”, Amb Udofia praised.
He said the Nigeria Police has indeed lost a Senior Fine Officer, a man of discipline, intelligence, integrity, and champion of Justice.
“His passage leaves a gaping void that may never be filled; The Nigeria Police Force, Lagosians, the worldwide CMC Gladiators and Nigeria at Large will miss him.
