YAYI: Changing political play pattern forever

As at the time of typing this, an ICT Skill Acquisition programme on electronic documentation and record keeping that comes with empowerment, facilitated by none other but Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi for teachers and selected youths has just been concluded in Ilaro the political headquarters of Ogun West Senatorial District that Senator Adeola is representing in the 10th Senate.

The mentioned skill acquisition programme is the latest in list and of many of such programmes that Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi has attracted from the Federal level for the good of the people of Ogun West, people of active age in particular. These started before he won election to become the Senator of Ogun West.

These are skilling programmes that has written all over it the intention of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi to change

The good thing about these programmes from Senator Adeola is the fact that the electorate have equal chances of becoming beneficiaries.

This is a big change in Ogun West, a great departure from the non inclusive political play pattern as far as democratic dividend sharing is concerned.

This Yayi change, has made countless Ogun Westerners to benefit from Senator Adeola’s facilitated human capacity building programmes.

Ogun West is extremely lucky to have Senator Adeola opening up sort-after opportunities at this very challenging time in the job market.

Time was when opportunity like this coming from political representatives are meant for only the.immediate family members of the political office holders, family members and close associates of political stalwarts.

Pre-Yayi political era in Ogun West, it was extremely hard for other members of the electorate with no strong connections to big political players to benefit from democratic dividends of this nature.

The pseudo wisdom behind the retrogressive selection process way back was enough to help them tie down their followers and that was ok for them in the pre-Yayi days.

They were blind to the absurd part that non inclusive dividend sharing method that limit opportunities to only their family and friends blocks off new followers from committing themselves to the camps of these political players.

Personalising dividends meant for the same citizens that put them in public offices was keeping caucuses, camps, factions but would not grow camps.

Whereas political players of a district in search of the seat of power in Okemosan should have been more concerned with growing their political groups, caucuses, factions parties into formidable political structure with inclusiveness, open handed political play pattern which Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi has deployed since his arrival in Ogun State politics and which has grown his political group into a formidable structure and has made him.and his mighty structure a strong factor in his party.

Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi in his covenant with the people of Ogun West at the start of the campaign that won him Ogun West Senatorial District, promised the good people of Ogun West that no one would need to have personal relationship or any sort of connection with him before they enjoy the numerous benefits that would come with the thumb printing of the APC logo at the poll for him to emerge as the representative of the good people of Ogun West.

He has stayed true to his promise by operating equal opportunity for all. His scholarship programme which is running its second edition this year 2024 is opened to all.

As a matter of fact, the second edition is not limited to Ogun West students only, students from Ogun East and Ogun Central are registering to benefit.

His upskilling programmes has always been opened to all with no gate keeping restricting anyone who can grab the forms for the programmes at designated centres.

He has with this conditioned the people of Ogun West and people outside the borders of Ogun West to trust in his programmes.

At the sound of any jingle or at the reading of a write up announcing any skill acquisition or empowerment programme from Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi, multitude do troop out to see if they could grab a form or register anyhow.

In the past it was not so, the words of the people then before Yayi came with his change was that the announcement were face saving or in fulfillment of all righteousness, the dividend would have been shared among party loyalists.

Now the narrative has changed, the people of Ogun West and indeed the people of Ogun State now believe in Yayi’s promised dividends and Yayi is fulfilling them.

No doubt, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi has changed political play pattern in Ogun West forever.
