Yewa North: Awaiting the birth of a new beginning

Sunset on the 16th of November 2024 will give birth to a new beginning in Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State.

It will be a new dawn in local government administration as the All Progressive Congress APC duo of Olusola Samuel Akinbode PhD and Olumide Joseph Ilori will be leading a new government that looks certain to herald change, positive change and renew the hope of the good people of Yewa North Local Government Area.

Yewa North Local Government Area has come a long way since it was created decades ago. No doubt, it has experienced different administrations each being a better version of the one it replaced.

The long list of Chairmen, Vice Chairmen, Councillors, Supervisory Councillors that have held the helm of Yewa North Local Government Council left their marks in records books and their impacts across Yewa North for coming office holders to seek to better.

Government is a continuum, as victory in the November 16th election looks certain for the Olusola Samuel Akinbode led APC flagbearers, they have their work cut out for them and that is to break existing record of performances in the books and on the ground across Yewa North, to surpass their predecessors in office, and to deliver unprecedented democratic dividends to Yewa North electorates.

This time, the good people of Yewa North wants a shift in growth rate from arithmetical to geometrical. Yewa North needs a lot of catch up to do, repositioning is ripe, Yewa North is in haste for a new face.

The leadership of the APC in Yewa North were aware of the need to advance growth and accelerate development to meet modern day thirst of contemporary and growing population of Yewa Northerners, reason they zeroed down on the candidature of an academician of repute as chairmanship candidate and an a class entrepreneur who knows the nooks and cranny of Yewa North like the palm of his hand.

Armed to effect growth with a 7 points transformative agenda focusing on Education, Agriculture and Rural Development, Healthcare Service Delivery, Infrastructural Facilities, Security, Youths Empowerment and Job Creation, Workers Welfare, the incoming Olusola Samuel Akinbode led government in Yewa North will jumpstart an era of economic prosperity for all from Ayetoro to Ibese and from Ijoun Iboro.

Listing education as number one on the 7 points agenda of the new government that is coming is rightly so, the chairmanship candidate is emerging from the academics with the rich understanding that education is the bedrock of the society.

The incoming government is making it clear that it will be purposeful in engineering conducive learning environment for Yewa North children. A government that makes education a priority is one that can be trusted to deliver on all other set agenda.
